Parents' Council
The Parents' Council is made up of parents who meet together to organise fun events for the children and their families. These events help to give Drumlins a family friendly atmosphere and are great for socialising.
The work of PC benefits every child in the school, and therefore we are asking as many parents as possible to join us and help make this our most successful year yet.
The main role of the PC is to raise money through fun events such as:
Bingo Nights
Quizzes
Christmas event
Drumlins got Talent
Treasure Hunt
Barbeque
The Summer Fair
Craft Fairs
School Discos
The PC spends its money to enrich the children's education. Expenditure so far includes:
ICT equipment, interactive whiteboard, books & science equipment, resources for numeracy,
playtime equipment, subsidising school trips
How you can get involved:
Come to a meeting
If you have a child at the school or if you are member of staff you are very welcome to come to any meeting. The PC meets regularly to see where help is needed, to decide what to buy, and to decide how to raise funds. Smaller groups meet at other times too to plan particular events.
Volunteer to help at an event:
Run a stall for a hour at the Summer Fair
Help set up the Craft fair
All these jobs (and lots more) have to be done if we are to continue to give the children's education the support it deserves.
